At 8:06 this morning NT Police were alerted to a single vehicle crash on Bishop Street.

The 50-year-old male driver had exited the vehicle at a Bishop Street business at the time of the accident. It appears the semi trailer rolled forward down the driveway into the premises of ABC Learning Centre; crashing through the fence.

No one was injured as a result of the crash. Motor Vehicle Registry, vehicle inspectors attended the scene and removed the vehicle for examination to determine the exact cause of the crash.

Duty Superintendent John Emeny said "this incident could have had a tragic outcome and is a timely reminder to all drivers to stay vigilant and maintain concentration in and around motor vehicles".
