Police have arrested a second man in relation to the shooting at a camp site north of Alice Springs at the weekend.

Detectives from the Regional Investigations Division executed a search warrant on a Gillen house late yesterday afternoon and arrested a 22-year-old man in relation to the shooting.

On Monday police arrested a 19-year-old man after executing a search warrant on a Braitling house. They seized a vehicle believed to have been used in the shooting as well as a number of firearms and ammunition.

Both men are expected to be interviewed later today.

Police would like to thank those members of the public who have provided information for their assistance.

Investigations are continuing.
