A 30-year-old male and 25-year-old female were arrested yesterday after police executed a drug search warrant at a Maningrida address. The search of the property yielded 38 separate deal bags containing cannabis plant material. The estimated weight of the cannabis was approximately one ounce. Also concealed within the packages of cannabis was $1850.00 in Australian currency. Both persons were conveyed back to Maningrida Police Station where they were interviewed and charged with the following offences; Possess a dangerous drug (cannabis) Supply drug - commercial Dealing money/property proceeds of crime Both persons have been bailed to appear in the Maningrida Magistrates Court on 3rd November 2010.
