Police are investigating an incident in Alice Springs in which a man was robbed at knife point.

Police received a report from the 20-year-old male victim that he was walking home from the Casino across Taffy Pick Crossing around 03.15 on Sunday morning when he was approached by two men. One of the men threatened him with a 30cm carving knife and demanded money. The man gave the two offenders a sum of money and they fled towards the Gillen area.

The victim told police the two males were of Aboriginal appearance with one wearing a red "hoodie" and the other wearing a dark-coloured "hoodie". Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has information about it to phone police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
