Alice Springs residents are advised that the River Watch for the Todd River has now been cancelled.

However motorists are advised that the low level causeways remain closed, while the Taffy Pick crossing and Stott Terrace bridge are open to traffic.

While no further river rises are expected today, motorists are still urged to drive with caution and stagger their travel times to and from work where possible to avoid traffic congestion while the low level causeways remain closed.

Police also advise the public to check the road conditions before commencing travel out of town by going to http://www.securent.nt.gov.au as many outlying roads in Central Australia remain impassable.
