River watch advice #4– Alice Springs

Police

Alice Springs residents are advised that the River Watch for the Todd River is now again at Level A after water levels fell this morning.

This means that while all the low level causeways remain closed, the Taffy Pick crossing which was closed to traffic last night has re-opened.

The Stott Terrace Bridge also remains open for access to the East side.

While further rain is expected in the next two days the Counter Disaster Committee will continue to monitor the situation and further advices will be issued as they come to hand. Motorists are again urged to drive with caution and check road conditions before travelling.
