Rescue - Florence Falls

Police

Police and members from the Fire Emergency Response Group rescued a man at Florence Falls in Litchfield Park last night.

At about 6:30 pm Bachelor police were called to the falls after a 39-year-old man jumped approximately two metres into a rock pool, landing on a rock.

Members met Park Rangers and nurses from Batchelor Clinic at the scene who were performing first aid on the man.

Fire Emergency Response Group members arrived a short time later and co-ordinated the rescue from the bottom of the falls to the car park.

St John Ambulance conveyed the man to Royal Darwin Hospital with minor head injuries.

He has since been discharged.
