Police



Two males aged 16 and 17 were travelling along Wells Creek Road when they saw a male sitting in a drain by the road.

They approached the male to offer assistance when it is alleged they saw a firearm beside him.

The youths fled the scene and reported the incident to police at around 8:50 pm.

Police attended the area and conducted searches, however were unable to locate the offender.

He is described to be of Caucasian appearance, average build, approximately 50 years of age with a large bushy beard and at the time was wearing jeans and a fluorescent orange shirt with a silver reflective cross on the front.

Police urge anyone with information in relation to the event, or who may have seen any suspicious activity within the abovementioned area, to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Drink driver apprehended - Coolalinga

Members witnessed the male drive off in an erratic manner and soon located him at the Coolalinga Woolworths Shopping Complex.

He was apprehended, returning a blood alcohol content reading of .100 percent and when a search was conducted, members also located 44 tablets, believed to be ecstasy.


He has been charged with drive without due care, drive under the influence of intoxicating liquor, possess schedule 2 drug - trafficable and is to appear in the Darwin Magistrate's Court at a later date.
