Recovered stolen golf buggies - Palmerston

NT Police would like to thank members of the public for their assistance which led to the recovery of five stolen golf buggies from the Palmerston Golf Club in Driver overnight.

Police received the reports from of youths driving golf buggies along footpaths in the vicinity of Temple Terrace and Woodroffe Avenue at about 9:15 pm.

The golf buggies were located dumped on Tilston Avenue and Elrundie Avenue.

The offenders, which are described as a group of youths approximately 8-12 years of age and of Aboriginal appearance, have not been located.

Senior Sergeant Paul Faustmann advised people to take the time to secure and take out insurance on their golf buggies, motorbikes and quad bikes.

"Lock your bikes and buggies up securely, in a secure garage or shed, out of the public view.

"Items such as disk locks, wheel locks and chaining up your bike or buggy can deter offenders from these opportunistic crimes," he said.

Police urge anyone who may seen any suspicious activity in the area or who may have information in relation matter to contact them on 131 444 or on Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
