Police have arrested a 49 year-old male in relation to a ram raid that occurred at in Woolner early this morning.

Members were called to the Middy's Electrical and Data Services store in Charlton Court after multiple alarms sounded from the premises.

It appears the offender has reversed a vehicle into the front glass doors at approximately 1:30 am, gaining entry to the premises and removing several boxes of stock.

He fled the scene in what was soon established to have been a Silver Subaru Liberty, stolen overnight from a residence in Duke Street Stuart Park.

Detectives from the Darwin Investigation Unit have continued investigations and located and arrested the offender at approximately 1:30 pm today at a residence on Parap Road.

Police recovered all the stolen items.
