Members from the Child Abuse Taskforce have charged a 59-year?old Malak man in relation to a number of sexual assault offences.

The man is alleged to have committed offences against nine female children aged between six and 18 years of age, over an approximate 20 year period.

The offender was yesterday charged with 32 sexual offences against children.

3 x counts of carnal knowledge involving females under 16
14 x counts of sexual Intercourse involving females under 16
5 x counts of indecent treatment with a child under 14
4 x counts of indecent dealings with a child under 16
5 x count of unlawful sexual relationship with a child
1 x count of aggravated Assault (Indecent)

He is due to appear in Darwin Magistrates Court today.
