NT Police have today terminated the employment of a 25-year-old Probationary Constable following an internal investigation by the Ethical and Professional Standards Command.

The Officer was stood down on full pay on 26 August 2010 while an internal investigation remained underway following a number of alleged breaches of discipline.

The Officer has been dismissed in accordance with Section 16A(6)(b) of the Police Administration Act. The Commissioner has determined that the Constable has breached discipline and therefore is unlikely to become an efficient member of the Northern Territory Police Force.

This information is provided in accordance with the NT Police transparency guidelines and no further information will be provided that might lead to the identification of the Officer.
