Police have charged a 44-year-old male with murder in relation to the death of a 38-year-old female in Daly River on Friday 5 February.

Members attended Wooliana Community at approximately 11:00pm on Friday after they received a report of a woman who had passed away.

Shortly after, members arrested a 44-year-old male in relation to the death.

The male is currently in police custody and will appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court tomorrow at 10:00am.
