The body of a 40-year-old man who was reported missing near Tennant Creek has been found.

Anthony Drummond was reported missing yesterday by staff at the Three Ways where he had been working. Police were told he left unexpectedly on Friday and had been seen walking north along the Stuart Highway on Sunday after leaving his car at Renner Springs.

An air and ground search was mounted yesterday and his body was discovered approximately 26 kilometres north of Renner Springs yesterday afternoon.

A post mortem will be conducted and a file will be prepared for the Coroner.
