The following message is issued by the Katherine Regional Counter Disaster Controller.

A Minor Flood Watch for the Gorge Road has now been declared.
All Residents are advised to listen carefully to this advice.

The Katherine River at Nitmiluk Centre has reached 3 metres. Flooding has occurred on the Gorge Road at Maud Creek crossing.

The situation is being monitored. No evacuations are necessary at this time. Next advice will be issued at 4.00pm Friday 29th January 2010.
