The man was travelling in a prime mover truck along the Stuart Highway just after midnight when he was stopped by police.

A search of the vehicle was conduct and the man was also subjected to a road side drug test.

Police located 76.48 grams of Methamphetamine, $16,000.00 in cash, electronic scales, 4.1 grams of Cannabis and two ice pipes.

The man has been charged with the following offences:
Supply Methamphetamine in a trafficable quantity
Possess Cannabis
Possess tainted property
Drive heavy vehicle under the influence of a prohibited drug.

He is due to appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court on 30 August and remains in police custody.
