Identities sought - Assault Casuarina

Police

Police are seeking assistance from the public in identifying two men who approached a 15-year-old girl shortly before 10:00 am today.

Two men described as between 25-30 years of age, drove past the girl in a dark green Nissan Pulsar sedan several times in the vicinity of Casuarina Square and the Casuarina Pool on Gsell Street. When the girl entered Fong Street one of the occupants got out of the car before grabbing her by the arm and telling her to get into car.

The girl pulled away and yelled out, at which time the offender jumped back in the vehicle and fled the scene.

The driver is perceived as being a male of Indian or Sub-Continental appearance, aged between 25 & 30 years of age with a black moustache and short hair. Indian Sub-Continental appearance

The passenger is perceived as being a male of Indian or Sub-Continental appearance aged between 25 & 30 years of age, athletic build, average height with short dark hair and side burns; he was wearing a long sleeve dark blue button up shirt with light blue stripes at the time of the incident.

Duty Superintendent Debra Smith urges the public to be alert of your surroundings and encourage young people to remember the three R's.

Refuse any offer (say no)
Run away (to somewhere safe)
Report it (straight away or as soon as you can)

" NT Police are urging any one who can identify the men involved or who may have further information in relation to the incident to contact NT Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000" she said.
