Hit and Run - Karama - Update 2

Police

Police have located the vehicle believed to have been involved in a hit and run incident in Karama on Wednesday night.

Members conducted a search warrant at a house in Karama at about 11:00 am yesterday, where they located a white Tarago van with damage consistent with a pedestrian crash.

Police subsequently seized the vehicle and a 19-year-old man assisted with enquiries.

Detectives are eager to speak to a 21-year-old male believed to be the driver of the vehicle at the time of the incident.

The younger man will be summonsed in relation to the matter.

The 60-year-old male victim remains at Royal Darwin Hospital in a stable condition. It is believed he was hit by a vehicle at about 7:30 on Wednesday night at the intersection of Bauer Crescent and Manunda Terrace.

Members of the Major Crash Investigation Unit continue to call for witnesses.
