Further investigations have now determined that the second hit and run incident that occurred out side the Palmerston Post Office last night is a separate incident.

It is believed a 22-year-old man was hit by a car on Fiveash Lane as a result of a domestic dispute at about 11:00pm last night. The victim received injuries to his leg and was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital by ambulance where he remains in a stable condition.

The victim was interviewed today and confirmed that the vehicle that struck him was not the same as involved at the incident outside the Arch Rival Bar and Restaurant.

No arrests have been made in relation to this matter.
