Golf buggy and alcohol stolen - Palmerston - 4508961

Police

Police are calling on assistance from the public in relation to an unlawful entry that occurred this morning.

Patrolling members witnessed two youths in a golf buggy near the Driver Supermarket in Palmerston at approximately 12:30 am.

The youths fled the scene on foot and upon searching the vehicle, police located several cartons of mixed alcoholic drinks.

It was soon established that two golf buggies and the alcohol had been stolen from the Palmerston Golf and Country Club earlier in the evening.

At approximately 4:00 am the offenders returned to the golf club where they were disturbed by staff members who were in the process of cleaning up after the initial break in.

A 17-year-old male offender was apprehended by one of the staff members however the others fled the scene.

Members soon located and arrested a 16-year-old male and a 17-year-old female in a nearby Driver home.

The Dog Operation Unit was called out to the scene to locate any further co-offenders.

The second buggy was located abandoned a short time later off Chung Wah Terrace.

A search warrant was subsequently conducted at another address in Driver, where an amount of stolen property was recovered and another 17-year-old male was apprehended.
