A second person has died as the result of a car accident at Howard Springs on Sunday 17 October 2010.

The 70-year-old man, who has remained in the Intensive Care Unit of Royal Darwin Hospital since the crash, died yesterday.

The man sustained his injuries when the Toyota Camry he was driving collided head-on with a Toyota Prado on Gunn Point Road in Howard Springs. The 58-year-old passenger of the Camry died at the scene.

The man, as well as his passenger, were both Israeli Nationals.

This brings the road toll to 42 compared to 28 for the same period last year.
