NT Police, Fire and Emergency Services were called to the scene of a fatal vehicle crash in Howard Springs at 03.30 pm this afternoon.

A Toyota Camry and a Toyota Prado collided head-on on Gunn Point Road near the Howard Springs Bridge, however the circumstances of the crash are unknown.

The female passenger of the Camry died as a result of the crash. The driver is in a critical condition. Both the passenger and the driver of the Camry are believed to be Israeli Nationals.

The driver of the Prado was the sole occupant of the vehicle and is in a critical condition.

Gunn Point Road will remain closed for at least the next hour while members from the Major Crash Investigation Unit investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
