Police were called to a residence in Mahogany Crescent in Karama at approximately 4:00 pm today with reports that a male had been assaulted.

Police and St John Ambulance members immediately attended the scene, establishing that the male had been stabbed to the head and neck.

The victim died at the scene.

Detectives from the Major Crime Unit are currently investigating the incident and further information will be provided as it comes to hand.
