Police received the report at about 9:30 am. The deceased was located a few metres from the vehicle and it appears he was not wearing a seat belt.

The 25-year-old passenger was located approximately 100 metres from the vehicle and conveyed to the Utopia clinic for treatment, he was released shortly after.

Initial investigations indicate the Holden Commodore rolled a number of times after the driver lost control when going over a slight grade and hump on the dirt road.

Police believe alcohol and speed may have contributed to the crash.
