A 24-year-old man wanted in Western Australia for numerous offences, including sexual assault, has been extradited from Alice Springs.
NT Detectives arrested the man in Alice Springs on Saturday as he was boarding a bus for Kintore.
The man was wanted by South Hedland police in Western Australia's Pilbara region for failing to appear in court on aggravated assault charges. He was also wanted in relation to a warrant issued in March this year for ten counts of indecent and sexual assault upon a 14-year-old girl.
The man was remanded in custody to appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court yesterday when Western Australian Detectives successfully applied to have him extradited. The man was flown back to Western Australia this morning.
