NT Police are currently investigating a series of vehicle interferences in The Gap overnight.

Between the hours of 10:00 pm and 11:40 pm police received reports of criminal damage and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

The windows of seven vehicles were smashed, with five of those vehicles received further damage to the ignition by attempted hotwiring.

One vehicle was stolen after an unknown person/s gained entry, it crashed into a fence a short time after causing minimal damage. Four persons, believed to be youths, were seen running from the area.

Police urge anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area or who may have any information to contact them on 131 444 or on Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
