A 23-year-old man will appear in court after police executed a search warrant on his home and seized a quantity of drugs this morning.

Members of the Drug Intelligence Unit, the Dog Operations Unit and the Substance Abuse Intelligence Desk executed a search warrant on the man's Gillen home at 7.30am today.

During the course of the search they located 72 deal bags of Cannabis weighing a total of 56 grams, plus two 28gram bags of Cannabis. Police also seized scales, empty clip seal bags and a .22 calibre air rifle. Total weight of the Cannabis seized was 112 grams with a potential street value in Alice Springs of $5600.

The man was arrested and charged with possession of a traffickable quantity of Cannabis, supply Cannabis and several firearm offences.

He has been bailed to appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court on July 6.
