Police

A 30-year-old man has been arrested after a drug raid at a property in Darwin's rural area.

Officers from the Special Operations Section searched the property on Friday.

A large quantity of methamphetamine and some cannabis was recovered during the search.

Police allege the drugs were hidden throughout a demountable building on the property.

Almost five-and-a-half thousand dollars in cash, a taser and eight stolen air-conditioner units were also seized.

The accused has been charged with the following...

Possessing a trafficable quantity of methamphetamine
Possess MDMA
Possess cannabis
Receiving stolen property
Possess a prohibited weapon

He's been bailed to appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court next month.

A second 33-year-old man who was also present during the raid, was charged with possessing methamphetamine after nine grams of the drug was allegedly found in his car.

He will appear in court via summons.
