Drug seizure – Alice Springs

Alice Springs Police have charged a 39-year-old man in relation to drug offences in Alice Springs overnight.

Members from the Drug Enforcement Unit, Substance Abuse Intelligence Desk, Property Crime Reduction Unit and Dog Operations Unit executed a search warrant at the man's residence and located a total of 37.2 grams of methamphetamine and 72 MDMA tablets.

The man has been charged with two counts of possession of a schedule two substance in a trafficable quantity and will appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court today.

The 72 MDMA tablets have an estimated street value of $3,600.00 and the 37.2 grams methamphetamine has an estimated street value of $13,080.00 if it had been sold in the Alice Springs area.
