Drug and weapon seizure - Livingston

Police

Members from the Special Operation Section seized a quantity of drugs and a number of weapons from a Livingston residence yesterday.
Police executed a search warrant of the house at about 9.00pm last night.

The following items were located throughout the property:

A total of 65 grams of methamphetamine
16.75 grams of cannabis
.2 grams of MDMA
6 x firearms - 4 of which are prohibited
A Butterfly knife
Capsicum spray
A taser
An amount of cash

Two men aged 24 and 39-year-old were arrested at the premises and conveyed to Darwin Watch House where they have since been charged in relation to numerous drug and weapon offences.

Superintendent Clint Sims said NT police will continue to target illicit drug suppliers.

"This is good a seizure for NT police and should effect the flow of these drugs into our community".

"The drugs could have reached approximately $65 000 if sold on the street" he said.
