NT Police are investigating the death of a sailor who was found deceased in his cabin on board HMAS Launceston in Larrakeyah in the early hours of the morning.

Police and Defence personnel are investigating. The cause of death will be a matter for the Coroner.

There are no further details available at this early stage in the investigation.
