Police are investigating the death of a 20-year-old male in Howard Springs last night.

Police received a report shortly after 1am this morning that a male had fallen from his quad bike while riding with a group of friends near Stow Road.

Witnesses at the scene commenced CPR and Police and St Johns ambulance arrived a short time after. He was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital but declared deceased on arrival.

Both the Major Crash Unit and Major Crime Investigators attended the scene.

Territory Duty Superintendent Bruce Porter said that investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death are ongoing and more information will be provided when available.
