Please be advised the NT Fire and Rescue Service will be conducting controlled burns in the Palmerston area today.

The burn will commence in the area between Mitchell Creek and Rosebery and continue in the vicinity of Lambrick Avenue and Owston Avenue.

Patrick Skewes from NTFRS advises drivers to take care when travelling in the area today as smoke may limit vision on Lambrick Avenue and impact on residents in the suburbs of Rosebery and Bakewell

"People suffering from asthma are urged to stay in well ventilated areas away from the smoke."
