Please be advised the NT Fire and Rescue Service will be conducting controlled burns in the Hidden Valley area today.

The burn will take place in the old explosives reserve at Hidden Valley to the west of the Hidden Valley Raceway.

Patrick Skewes from NTFRS advises drivers to take care when travelling in the area today as smoke may limit vision on the road.

"Although the weather forecast indicates good conditions for burning, there is a possibility smoke could affect Charles Darwin Park and the Bayview and Darwin areas.

"People suffering from asthma are urged to stay in well ventilated areas away from the smoke."
