NT Fire and Rescue is at the scene of a chemical spill at the ConocoPhillips factory at East Arm.

The alarm was raised just after 3.30pm and the factory was evacuated.

About 120 litres of styrene and bondo body filler is being contained.

Police and St John Ambulance are also at the scene although there have been no reports of injury.

Police have warned motorists to avoid the Berrimah Road area at East Arm and obey all traffic directions.
