A man has been charged following a stabbing at Hidden Valley last week.

Police received a report just after 11pm on Thursday night that a 16-year-old youth had been stabbed in the chest. Family members took the victim to Alice Springs Hospital where he underwent surgery.

Police arrested the victim's 20-year-old brother in relation to the incident and he has been charged with unlawfully causing serious harm and being armed with a controlled weapon at night. He has been bailed to appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court today.
