A woman will face court after police found more than $20,000 cash in her possession believed to be the proceeds of a crime.

On Sunday night members of the Drug Intelligence Unit pulled over the woman's Mitsubishi Magna on the Stuart Highway near the Adelaide turnoff. They found and seized $20,450 in cash which was in the woman's handbag.

The woman was arrested and charged with possession of tainted property. She has been bailed to appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court in March.
Meanwhile, a 38-year-old man will be summonsed after Drug Intelligence Unit members executed a search warrant on his Gillen home.

Police found 25 deal bags of cannabis and $220 cash in the house. The man will be summonsed to court for possession and supplying cannabis.
