Two passengers -a 20-year-old female German National and a 21-year-old Swedish man - sustained serious injuries, while the driver and another passenger - a 27-year-old Taiwanese female escaped with minor injuries.

Police arrested the driver and charged her with driving a motor vehicle causing serious harm. She has been bailed to appear in the Tennant Creek Magistrates Court today.

The two seriously injured passengers remain in the Alice Springs Hospital in a stable condition.
