Darwin City Police are calling for public assistance after two males were assaulted in Darwin City in the early hours of yesterday morning.
At about 12:30am it is alleged a 50-year-old male was assaulted while walking along Smith Street near the Tomaris flats. Two Caucasian males are alleged to have approached him from behind before punching him to the left side of his head near his ear.
The victim was knocked down and lost consciousness for a short time. He received minor injuries as a result of the attack and was taken to RDH as a precaution.
Both offenders are described as of Caucasian appearance and one with short blonde curly hair.
In a separate incident a 29-year-old man was assaulted in front of his home on Kitchener Drive.
It is alleged the victim was walking to the entrance of his apartment complex when he was hit in the back of the head with an unknown object causing him to collapse. The man has no further recollection of the incident. When he regained consciousness he discovered his wallet and house keys had been stolen.
