Two security guards were taken to hospital after they were assaulted by a group of people in an Alice Springs shopping centre on Friday night.
Police received a report just after 8pm that a group of people had assaulted the two men aged 60 and 52 after they were told to leave the Yeperenye Shopping Centre.
One of the security guards sustained an injury to his hip while the other received a laceration to the head requiring eight stitches. Both men were taken to Alice Spring Hospital for treatment.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident and no arrests have yet been made. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have information should phone police on 131 444 or Crime Stopper 1800 333 000.
