It is alleged that a group of people were at the old Bunnings store on the corner of Vanderlin Drive and Gsell Street when an altercation occurred at approximately 10:30 pm.

It is believed that a star picket and rocks may have been weapons involved in the incident.

Police and St John members attended the scene and conveyed a male victim to Royal Darwin Hospital where he remains in a stable but serious condition.
