A 33-year-old man has claimed that while walking along Riverbank Drive during the early hours of this morning he was stopped by four people in a silver 4WD Toyota Landcruiser station wagon.

It is alleged that a male passenger got out of the motor vehicle and produced a bow and arrow, then shot it at him.
The offenders left the scene when the man ran into a residential block of units.

Police later located a vehicle matching the description. However the driver fled the area on foot.

Police are seeking assistance from any person who may have information regarding the identity of the driver and occupants of a silver Toyota Landcruiser station wagon driving in and around Katherine between 11.00 pm last night and 02.30 am this morning.
