It is alleged some time between 10:00 pm and 4:45 am yesterday the offenders unlawfully entered the Aurora Kakadu Resort situated on the Arnhem Highway, and removed two safes from the premises.

Police located the opened safe early yesterday and after conducting further enquiries located the second unopened safe, hidden in bush land near Howard Springs.

Surveillance was set up to watch the second safe and at about 11:00 pm last night four males aged 53, 35, 32, and 16 returned to the location and attempted to open it with a grinder. Police then moved in and arrested all of the offenders.
They were conveyed to Darwin Watch House where they remain, assisting police with their enquires
