A man has been arrested in relation to a suspicious death at a community near Katherine overnight.

Just before midnight Police received a report of the death of a 37-year-old woman at the Binjari Community.

Detectives from Katherine attended the community approximately 15 kilometres west of Katherine off the Victoria Highway. Two crime scenes have been established and a 44-year-old man has been arrested.
