Arrest for damage to six cars –Alice Springs - 4487083

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested for allegedly damaging six cars in Alice Springs on Friday night.

Police received a report just before 9pm that a person was jumping on cars in the Memorial Club car park on the corner of Stuart Terrace and Gap Road. Police found four cars had been damaged. A short time later police received a second report and found two more cars had been damaged.The cars included a Honda Civic, a Ford Laser, a Nissan Patrol, two Toyota Camrys and a Ford Falcon.

The alleged offender was arrested near the scene. He has been charged with six counts of unlawfully damaging property and has been bailed to appear in the Alice Springs Youth Justice Court on April 6.
