Arrest - Criminal damage & stealing - Nakara

Members of the Youth Crime Unit arrested a 17-year-old female in relation to a series of criminal damage and stealing offences that occurred on March 12.

The youth and her three male co offenders aged 16, 17 & 19-years of age are alleged to have spray painted and damaged a number of vehicles in various streets of Nakara during the early hours of Friday.

The offenders later unlawfully entered Casuarina Square and stole items from seven businesses located in the complex before fleeing the scene.

With the assistance of security staff who sighted the youths and CCTV, police arrested and charged the offender yesterday. She is expected to face court on Tuesday 20th April 2010 in relation to the following offences:

Criminal damage x 12
Unlawful entry x 7
Stealing x 6
Trespass x 2

Sergeant Jeffrey Mosel said "This sort of youth anti-social and unlawful behaviour will not be tolerated and there will be swift consequences to prevent a repetition of similar incidents".
