Police are calling for public assistance after a 36-year-old female was attacked while walking home in Tennant Creek early on Saturday morning.
The woman said she walked away but was approached again by the offender at the end of the laneway where he attempted to sexually assault her. The offender fled when members of the public came to the woman's assistance. The offender is described as being: Of Aboriginal appearance 25 - 28 years old Stocky build 170 - 172cm tall Dark curly hair Wearing a black t-shirt with a white and blue flannelette shirt and black shorts.
