Aggravated Unlawful Entry - Katherine 4485699

Katherine Investigations are calling for witnesses in relation to an aggravated unlawful entry that was reported to police early this morning.

It is alleged at about 5:00am this morning a male unlawfully entered an Acacia Street home after forcing open a front window. A 13-year-old female discovered the offender in the house and screamed, before the man threatened her with a knife and fled the scene.

The girl did not receive any injuries as a result of the incident.

The offender is then alleged to have stolen a white Toyota Landcruiser Troop Carrier from a near by property before fleeing the area.

The offender is described as
20-years-old
Of aboriginal appearance
Wearing a black shirt and white shorts

Detective Sergeant Tony Henrys says "Police believe the man may be heading interstate & in the interest of public safety Police are doing everything possible to locate and remove this man from the streets."

Members are currently in the process of conducting interviews with the victim.

Katherine police urge any one who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the vicinity of Acacia Street early this morning; or who may have further information in relation to the incident to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
