Police are appealing for information from the public in relation to an incident that occurred at residence on Cromwell Drive Alice Springs last night.

It is alleged that at sometime between midnight and 9.30am this morning, an unknown offender has entered through the back door of the premises and stolen a number of items including:

Approx. $11,000 Cash (mostly in coin)
1 X Nintendo Wii Gaming Console and Games
1 X Video Projector
1 X Rip Curl Watch
1 X Wedding Ring
Several DVD Movies


It is alleged that money stolen had been collected from a fundraiser the evening before.

Territory Duty Superintendent Bruce Porter said police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the event or have any relevant information to come forward.

"A lot of effort has gone into fundraising this money. If members of the public have any information relating to this event, they can call Police of 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, "said Supt Porter.
