Three 16-year-old male youths have been charged in relation to two incidents that occurred last week.

At about 2.30 pm on Wednesday 25 November a 15-year-old male had exited a bus at the Casuarina Bus Exchange when he was approached by a male who was with a group of youths, and challenged to a fight.

The victim ran from the area however the group chased him into a nearby park where he was allegedly assaulted and had his mobile phone, Ipod and a small quantity of cash stolen.

A 16-year-old Rapid Creek male was arrested the following day and further enquiries on Friday 27 November resulted in the arrest of a 16-year-old Malak male in relation to this assault. Both have been charged with robbery in company and aggravated assault.

The second incident occurred on Friday 27 November where a number of youths from one group assaulted a number of youths from another at an address in Moil. A16-year-old Karama male has been arrested and charged with robbery in company and aggravated assault in relation to the first incident and aggravated assault in respect to the second incident.

All youths have been bailed to appear in the Darwin Youth Justice Court on 12 January next year.

Enquiries are continuing to locate co-offenders.
